The video (officially called 'The Pope Video – January: Inter-religious Dialogue') is the first of many to come. It will become more intense,  more convincing.

Your only hope is  knowing and trusting our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and His Word.

POPE FRANCIS Most of the planet's inhabitants declare themselves believers. This should lead to dialogue among religions. We should not stop praying for it and collaborating with those who think differently.

RINCHEN KANDRO – LAMA  I have confidence in the Buddha.

DANIEL GOLDMAN – RABBI I believe in God.

GUILLERMO MARCO – CATHOLIC PRIEST I believe in Jesus Christ.

OMAR ABBOUD – ISLAMIC LEADER I believe in God, Allah.

POPE FRANCIS Many think differently, feel differently, seeking God or meeting God in different ways. In this crowd, in this range of religions, there is only one certainty we have for all: we are all children of God.

POPE FRANCIS I hope you will spread my prayer request this month: "That sincere dialogue among men and women of different faiths may produce the fruits of peace and justice."
I have confidence in your prayers.

   Only those who have been diligent students of the Scriptures and who have received the love of the truth will be shielded from the powerful delusion that takes the world captive. By the Bible testimony these will detect the deceiver in his disguise. To all the testing time will come. By the sifting of temptation the genuine Christian will be revealed. Are the people of God now so firmly established upon His word that they would not yield to the evidence of their senses? Would they, in such a crisis, cling to the Bible and the Bible only? Satan will, if possible, prevent them from obtaining a preparation to stand in that day. He will so arrange affairs as to hedge up their way, entangle them with earthly treasures, cause them to carry a heavy, wearisome burden, that their hearts may be overcharged with the cares of this life and the day of trial may come upon them as a thief.  {GC 625.3}
