A BETTER WAY TO MAKE YOUR OWN MAYONNAISE
DAIRY FREE, GLUTEN FREE, GRAIN AND NUT FREE
I love mayonnaise so much that I decided to make my own as healthy as possible. My entirely family loves it so much they ask me to make tomato sandwiches with mayonnaise everyday.
1 cup grapeseed oil
½ cup unsweetened soy milk ( I used westsoy organic unsweetened soy milk)
1 tbs fresh lemon juice or to taste.
1 tsp brown rice syrup
3/4 tsp fine grain sea salt
In a high-speed blender, combine all ingredients except the oil and blend on high until smooth. Slowly stream in the oil trough the blender top blending in low speed. The mixture will ticken gradually.
Transfer to a airtight container and refrigerate. Mayonnaise will keep for up to 1 month.
Tip: I used this recipe to make my own ranch dressing. I take 1/3 cup of my homemade mayonnaise and add more soy milk to make less thick. Add approximately 3 tbs of soy milk . Then I add a ½ tsp of lemon juice, ¼ tsp of Herbamare or to taste and my favorite SAUCY RANCH SEASONING from thevegetarianexpress.com.
Use it sparingly .
