UNIVERSITAS ADVENT INDONESIA

The holiness, the sacredness, the reverence and awe that we are to render to God is being turned into something trivial. It’s happening everywhere. Our institutions are being continuously targeted. Buildings that were erected to train our youth for the finishing of the work are losing their and purpose. Holy, consecrated facilities established by our members through sacrifice, time, labor, talents and money are now being used for purposes that they were never intended.

The holiness, the sacredness, the reverence and awe that we are to render to God is being turned into a trivial desecration. It's happening everywhere. Our institutions are being continuously defiled and profaned.

Indonesian Adventist University (UNAI) is a Seventh-day Adventist institution located in Bandung, West Java Indonesia. The Alumni Association for Indonesian Adventist University recently held a homecoming celebration for its alumni on the school’s campus that included a carnival environment and sensual dancing.

Fun, entertainment and diversion is replacing the sacred joy, peace and gladness that comes when we worship God in spirit and truth. The message we hear today is “Lighten up, they are just having fun.” Many believe that we need new modern methods of diversion and activities so that the church can be more relevant to young people. But is revelry the answer? Is a worldly party in our institutions the way to connect young people to Jesus?

Here is the flyer for the celebration. The school’s logo is in red. The words “Pray, Laugh, Play and Work Together” published in this flyer are also see in the top banner in the video.

We are commanded to manifest a godly fear and reverence to our holy God:

“Let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire.” Hebrews 12:28, 29.

“Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” Revelation 14:7.

The kind of “fun” being demonstrated across many Seventh-day Adventist institutions world-wide is strictly meant to amuse people. These kinds of activities do not glorify God. This is not giving God praise, worship or honor. This kind of horseplay is more in line with what you see in a nightclub than in the church of the living God.

100 years ago we were warned that all of this would come. How many of us believed the warnings? And why didn’t we prepare to resist this coming apostasy? 100 years ago it was called the Alpha of Apostasy. Today we are in the Omega.

“Be not deceived; many will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. We have now before us the alpha of this danger. The omega will be of a most startling nature.” (Selected Messages, Book 1, p. 197).

“The omega will follow, and will be received by those who are not willing to heed the warning God has given” (Ibid., p. 200).

“I knew that the omega would follow in a little while; and I trembled for our people” (Ibid., p. 203).

The above warnings were penned in 1904. If we believe that we are living in the days just before Christ returns then we are living in the time of the Omega of Apostasy. The Omega is not just coming, it is here.

"The things you have described as taking place in Indiana, the Lord has shown me would take place just before the close of probation. Every uncouth thing will be demonstrated. There will be shouting, with drums, music, and dancing. The senses of rational beings will become so confused that they cannot be trusted to make right decisions. And this is called the moving of the Holy Spirit.

We are following in the footsteps of Rome as seen in the video below:
