Christ says we are to have eternal life now, but we don’t have access to the tree of life anymore, so in the meantime, how do we access the life in the tree of life because we must have that life. We can have life only as we have communion with him. Separated from God, existence may be ours for a little time but we do not possess life. Christ says that as He lived by His Father, is the way we must live by Him. What does this mean? God is a spirit and a spirit does not have flesh and blood. God is not a cannibal. Christ clarifies, “The words I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life.” Christ tells us plainly, that His words are spirit and life -- eternal life. The Scriptures are the great agency in the transformation of character. As we wait for physical access, this is how we access the life of the tree of life. Study the Word - for it is your life.
